Singaporean companies are seeking opportunities to invest in services, infrastructure and logistics projects in Vietnam, the government said on its website Tuesday, citing a Singapore official.

Chiong Woan Shin, IE Singapore Director for Vietnam and Cambodia said, this year, Singaporean businesses will continue pouring investments into Vietnam where they see as one of the most attractive destinations in the Southeast Asian region.

The director added that property sector remains appealing to investors from Singapore, noting that Allgreen, one of the largest realty developers in Singapore, co-started with An Phu Co. to implement a US$105-million apartment project in Ho Chi Minh City.

IE Singapore opened its offices in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City to support the Singaporean businesses to boost investments in Vietnam, the official highlighted.

Singaporean companies invested US$17.73 billion in 808 projects in Vietnam as of end-April this year, ranking the 5th among foreign investors in the nation.
