Vnre.blogspot.com - On July 12-2010, in Phu Quoc island district, People's Committee of Kien Giang Province coordinated with the Ministry of Construction announced Decision 633/QD-TTg signed date May 11-2010 by the Prime Minister approved construction planning of Phu Quoc Island to 2030.
Participants, Minister of Construction Nguyen Hong Quan, the Steering Committee of the South West leaders, Kien Giang Province People's Committee leaders, and leaders of Phu Quoc.
Speaking at the ceremony, Mr.Bui Ngoc Suong - Kien Giang Province People's Committee Chairman highlighted the socio-economic achievements that Phu Quoc island district has achieved more than six years implemented Decision 178 of the Prime Minister about overall plan to develop Phu Quoc island to 2010, vision to 2020. After the period of implementation of Decision 178, in the context of future development of global and national, party and government has approved many strategic plannings, impact-oriented long-term development of Phu Quoc.
Under the guidance of the Prime Minister, Kien Giang Province People's Committeecoordinated with the Construction Ministry, the ministries - concerned branch set up the Overall Planning to build the Phu Quoc Island to 2030. The agency is Southern Institute of Architecture, Urban and Rural Planning (Ministry of Construction) coordinate WATG international consultancy (USA) to implementation.
Finish ceremony, the Minister of Construction Nguyen Hong Quan has conducted formal hand over the dossier planning blueprint for Bui Ngoc Suong - Chairman of Kien Giang Province People's Committee.
