VNRE - From the 14th-15th September 2010 a multi-disciplinary group consisting of key decision makers from the local administration, scientists as well as company and civil society representatives will gather at the Goethe-Insitute Hanoi to discuss the challenges for sustainable urban development in Vietnam posed by climate change. The conference will take a look at policies and strategies to deal with climate change in Germany in order to provide new solutions to the question how to handle the impact of climate change in Vietnam.

Similar problems focusing on environmentally sustainable building will be tackled in the exhibition Ecology.Design.Synergy which will be presented from 14.-21. September by the Goethe-Institut with the support of the ifa. The exhibition displays internationally implemented projects by the companies Behnisch Architekten und Transsolar ClimateEngineering from Stuttgart and conveys various innovative approaches in the field of ecologically responsible building as well as ideas about new techniques in civil engineering and sustainable architecture.

At the opening on 14.9.2010 at 6.30pm a presentation by the Hanoian architect Ly Truc Dung on his in Viet Nam unique Green House will complete the exhibition through a Vietnamese perspective regarding this topic.
