Vinh Loc Industrial Park in HCMC’s Binh Tan District is pressing ahead with a plan to build three apartment buildings for 3,500 of its workers.
Nguyen Tien Trung, general director of the park, said the company would invest VND166 billion and use 12,000 square meters of the park for the project.
Trung said the first block would break ground this month, the other two in September and that the project would be completed by the fourth quarter of 2010.
Units in this project will be designed for both single workers and families, according to the developer.
Trung said monthly rents would range from VND250,000 to VND500,000 per person, including motorbike parking and garbage collection.
He added that 15 companies in the park had registered for accommodations for 1,500 workers.
Trung, also called for financial support from the city government by offering it a supporting interest rate within 20 years, instead of seven years as regulated.
