REIC - Metro Line 1 has a total length of 19.7 km from Ben Thanh market (district 01) to Suoi Tien amusement park (district 09). Line 1 has 14 stations, three of these are underground station (from station 1 to station 3).
Trial operation of Metro Line 1 is planned for 2019 and completion is planned for 1 year later. Planners expect the route to serve more than 160,000 passengers daily upon launch, increasing to 635,000 by 2030 and 800,000 by 2040.
