VNRE - C.T Phuong Nam Joint Stock Company, a member of Ho Chi Minh City-based C.T Group, is to commence construction of District 3's C.T Plaza in 2011.

The company recently awarded South Korea’s Kumho Group its main contractor for the C.T Plaza, which is located at 117 Nguyen Dinh Chieu street.

The $82 million project will cover 48,000 square metres and include three basements and 22 floors for luxury commerce, hi-end apartments and hotel when its construction is completed in the third quarter of 2012.

Kumho is currently also a contractor of Sunrise City, a residential complex in the Saigon South.

C.T Group in November commenced construction of a multi-purpose property project worth $11 million in the southern hub in partnership with Cultural Products Corporation. The 16-floor C.T Plaza will cover 1,400sqm at 369 Le Van Sy street, District 3 and comprise a four-star-hotel, cinema and a commercial area.

The group is developing many other big property projects in the city, including an apartment project in Go Vap District, and a large retail area in the neighbouring Binh Duong province.

Established in 1992, C.T Group has 36 members active in real estate, financial investment, high-end retail, cuisine, entertainment, education, healthcare, construction, plantation, natural resources, ecological tourism and import-export.
