This is an annual event sponsored by the ASEAN Centre for Energy (ACE) to promote energy efficiency in Southeast Asia.

Vietnam’s Ana Mandara Resort Da Lat received first prize for tropical building, while a building of Tien Dat Tourism Company won second prize.

Vietnam’s Ocean Park building took the prize for effectively managing energy. Landmark building was presented third prize for an energy-efficient renovated building.

he award-winning works will be honored at the ASEAN Energy Ministerial Meeting in Da Lat on July 17.

The 2010 competition will be held next June in Brunei.

In May 2010, the Ministry of Industry and Trade and Ministry of Construction cooperated with Hanoi and HCM City to launch the competition to encourage energy efficiency in high-rise buildings in big cities. This is the fourth competition of its kind in Vietnam.
